Donald Earl "Don" Seale

Donald Earl “Don” Seale, age 92, of Moundville, AL, died January 10, 2026, at Moundville Health and Rehabilitation. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Moundville with Magnolia Chapel South directing. 

He was preceded in death by his wife of over 56 years, Myra Shipley Seale; parents Leon Clinton Seale Sr. and Louise Callahan Seale; and siblings, Leon Clinton Seale Jr., Patty Seale Elliott and Mary Frances Seale. 

Survivors include his twin sister, Dorothy “Dot” Seale Ellis; daughters Jane Ellen Seale Tidmore (Dixon) and Emily Kay Seale Freeland (Andrew); grandchildren, Joseph Dixon Tidmore and Meredith Tidmore Guglielmi (Nick).

 Don served in the Marine Corps and was honorably discharged at the end of his tour. He attended Livingston University and the University of Alabama. After college, Don accepted a position at Hunt Oil Company and remained there until retirement. He was a lifelong member of Moundville United Methodist Church where he sang in the choir for many years. Don and his wife, Myra, were avid Alabama Football fans attending games at Legion Field and Bryant Denny Stadium. 

The family would like to thank Regency Retirement Village, Moundville Health and Rehabilitation, and Southern Care New Beacon Hospice for the care and compassion they provided during his last years. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Moundville United Methodist Church, Southern Care New Beacon Hospice, or the charity of your choice.
