Joe Smith NORTHPORT Joe Smith, age 74, of Northport, died June 12, 2013. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North with Evangelist June Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth S. Smith; his parents, Vera and Dainer Smith; and two sisters. Survivors include his daughters, Mary Jo Sanders and Tammy Smith; sisters, Murline Nabors, Peggy Moore, Janie Reed, and Ann Johnson; brothers, Guin Smith and Johnny Smith; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends.
