Connie was born December 20, 1948 to the late Samuel Gene Davis and Lucille Simpson Davis, and grew up in Greensboro, Alabama. She was the middle child of seven children, having three brothers and three sisters, whom all survive her.
Connie married William Elliott Seale in June 1967 and they shared 58 years of marriage, with two children born into from this union; William Samuel "Will" Seale, and Mark Elliott Seale. By her son Mark she was blessed with three grandchildren; Haley, Reese and Luke Seale, who kept her quite busy, active and fulfilled later in life, while surviving only one major bodily injury. She had a special and supportive role in their lives. Connie professed her life to Christ and cherished serving the Lord. She loved teaching, working, and especially singing in the several Baptist churches attended with her family over the years. She has been a member of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church for the last 35 years. She always knew there was another life to live after this earthly one.
Connie loved to read, it was her one true passion, always with a book in her hand, no matter the occasion or circumstance. She possessed a unique mind, sharp and focused, but witty and funny, always trying to absorb as much knowledge as possible. She loved music and singing, whether in church choir or just with family or by herself. She enjoyed flowers, birds, butterflies, tending to her azaleas and roses, always with a butterfly motif somewhere in the house. She was a big movie buff, again just soaking in culture and life and knowledge like a sponge. Then there was the gentle, kind, sweet, generous, and loving wife, mother and grandmother who lived and loved to teach others, always with patience and wisdom only she possessed. All who knew her will truly miss her amazing spirit, mind, wit, love, generosity, and patient and gentle nature.
Pallbearers will be Luke Seale, Allan Thomas, Jacob Barnes, Brian Seale, Chuck Seale and Nate Olek.
