Charlene Bolton

Lou Charlene Bolton, age 79, of Northport, Alabama, passed away on October 9, 2022 at home. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at Campground Methodist Church with Bro. Curry Bennett and Bro. Paul Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Magnolia Chapel North directing. Visitation will be two hours prior to the services (12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Wednesday) at the church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cortez and Merle Dyer; in-laws, Archie and Clista Bolton; and granddaughter, Ashlyn LeAnne Bolton.

Survivors include her husband, James “Buster” Bolton; daughter, Traci Bolton Hayes; sons, Todd Bolton (Michele), Chad Bolton (Shannon), and Brad Bolton (Leigh); sister, Karen Sparks; and grandchildren, Autumn Hudson (Josh), Hunter Hayes, Kolby Bolton, Annslee Bolton, Logan Bolton, Kelsey Bolton, and Ady Bolton.

Charlene Bolton graduated from Northside High School in 1961. Shortly after, she became a wife to her loving husband, Buster Bolton, in 1965. Mr. & Mrs. Bolton celebrated 57 years together in 2022. Charlene was a beloved wife, mother of four, and grandmother of seven. Charlene had a strong faith in God, loved reading her Bible, and encouraging others. She was often seen laughing and wearing a smile on her face, especially when surrounded by friends and family. “To know her was to love her.”

Pallbearers will be Clark Collins, Matt Collins, Glen Sparks, Greg Long, Kolby Bolton, Hunter Hayes, Logan Bolton, and Jack Campbell.

Honorary pallbearers are family and friends of the Northside Community. Thanks to special friends, Jean Davis, Faye Hughes, Pauline Kuykendall, Betty Jean Lunceford, and Clark & Sandra Collins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Campground Church Benevolence Fund to help people in need.
