Carey Lonnie Free of Tuscaloosa, AL, age 55, was called to his eternal home on February 5, 2021. He was born in Tuscaloosa on February 8, 1965. Carey was a beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend. He has been perfectly described by all who had the pleasure of knowing him as being “selfless.” Carey was always lending a helping hand to others and never expecting anything in return. Carey was an extremely hard worker and took great pride in providing for his family as well as those in need. He loved to spend his free time in the outdoors and specifically loved to fish. He was loved by so many and will be grievously missed.
Carey was preceded in death by his father, Perry Lonie Free of Tuscaloosa.
Survivors include his wife, Sarita Free, son, Lonnie Free and daughter, Emily Free. His mother, Judy Bush Free and brother, Jeff Free. All survivors are of Tuscaloosa.
A graveside service only will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home, South at 11:00 am. Michael Bush officiating.
Pallbearers will be Frank Nelson, Britt Brittain, Davis Brittain, Ricky Dockery, Hoyt Hutchinson, Kelly Bush, Danny Smith, and Matt Caddis
