Brenda Montgomery

Brenda Lois Smith Montgomery, age 75, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2025, at Northport Medical Center surrounded by her loving husband and children. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 12, 2025, at Magnolia Chapel North with Pastor Jonathan Lawson officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Magnolia Chapel North directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde Marshall Smith and Evie Cooley Smith; infant daughter; brothers, Clyde Smith Jr., Jessie Smith, Marshall 'Peewee' Smith; and stepsons, Brian Montgomery and Tracy Montgomery.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Montgomery; daughter, Lisa Eady; son, Jeff Hoggle (Donna); nine grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.

Brenda had a servant's heart, always slow to speak, but quick to listen. She retired from the Mary Stark Harper Center at Bryce Hospital. She met the love of her life Jerry in 1992. They married in April 1993 and were married 32 wonderful years. She loved her people at Christ Harbor Church and especially the Kingdom Girls Women's Group.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Hendrix, Justin Hendrix, Garrett Corley, Coty Hoggle, Austin Hoggle, and Neil Hobson.

Honorary pallbearers are Northport DCH ICU unit, Christ Harbor Church, and many many camping friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Life Outreach International, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or Hospice of West Alabama.
