Kizziah; daughters, Lisa Beams and Dana Kizziah; sister, Angela Burkes; sister-in-law, Linda Steinl; brothers, Donnie (Billie) Dunaway and Billy (Dru) Dunaway; grandchildren, Breanna Kizziah, Brandon Kizziah, Hunter Kizziah, and Nathan Beams; and great-grandkids, Kylee, Anna Kate, Rosalie, Grayson, Paxton, and Serenity.

Brenda was an amazing daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mom, nana, great-nanny, and friend for over 69 years on this Earth. Even with her dwindling health, over the last few years she still remained steadfast in her love for Jehovah God and her family!

She was born Brenda Carlene Dunaway on September 5, 1952 in Hamilton, Ohio to James Dunaway and Rita Marcum. Unfortunately, at a young age, she would tragically lose her father in a drowning accident. When she was age 7, her mother Rita would go on to marry her second father, James Childers, who became a loving father and Paw Paw to her children and many more! He would later be the one to relocate her and five of her eight siblings to the community of Yellow Creek for his job as part of the blasting crew for Lake Tuscaloosa Dam when she was 14. This would also be the place where at 16, she would meet the love of her life, Glenn, and marry him on June 20, 1969. They went on to have three children and remained married for 53 years.

Their lives together were not without their trials and tribulations. They fought many battles including the loss of their only son in a tragic drowning accident on July 23, 1984 at the young age of 9. They learned to stand together through the struggles and embrace the joy!

She loved spending time with her large family making memories. She enjoyed shopping, crafting, fishing, boating, along with traveling on family vacations, motorcycle rides and anniversaries with her husband. But one thing remains…she will truly be missed and remembered by all her loved ones for the great love and care she showed for us all until we meet again.

Pallbearers will be Chris Quimby, Rodney Banks, Nathan Beams, Hunter Kizziah, Dennis Davidson, and Kyle Johnson.

Honorary pallbearers are Hospice of West Alabama, Danny Rife, Tommy Beams, Timothy Dunaway, Scott Dunaway, and Johnny McCafferty.
