Billy Salter NORTHPORT| Billy Salter, age 74 of Northport died September 22, 2016 at home. Graveside service will be 3:00pm, Sunday September 25, 2016, at Wiley Cemetery with Rev. Charles Herron officiating and Magnolia Chapel North directing. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 2:30pm before the service, at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his son, Clarence M. Salter, wife, Shelby J. Hyche, parents; Enoch Salter and Johnnie Mae Nettles; and his stepfather George Nettles. He is survived by his wife Jane Salter, family members; Mary Hall and Greg Rylan and his step children, John, Jamie and David Deason. Billy served in the United States Army in the Vietnam War. Pallbearers will be Teddy Ratliff, Paul Anderson, Templeton Price, David Deason, John Deason and Ken Hayes.
