Betty Northington

Betty Jean Oxford Northington, age 84, of Northport, Alabama, passed away January 19, 2024. Services will be private. A private burial will be in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Magnolia Chapel North directing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, L. M. "Ted" Northington; parents, Herman and Evalyn Coltrain Oxford; and grandson, Justin Kelley.

Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Northington Kelley (Jim); son, David S. Northington (Marianne); sister, Pat Jarvis; brother, David Oxford; grandchildren, Joseph Northington, Anna Beth Northington, Tara Scogin (Will), Todd Kelley, Chad Kelley, and Jenny Beard (Jason); great-grandchildren, Lilian Beard, Aiden Beard, Henry Ted Kelley, and Henry Albus Scogin.

Pallbearers will be Will Scogin, Joseph Northington, Chad Kelley, Todd Kelley, Jim Kelley, and David Northington.

Honorary pallbearers are University Church of Christ, Eagles Wings, Inc., Hospice of West Alabama, Bama Exterminating Co., and Way Ray Shelton & Co.
