Betty loved her nursing career and provided compassionate care to all her patients. She spent her early career as a nurse for the Tuscaloosa County Health Department, and in later years she served with the Tuscaloosa County School System as a school nurse. Betty was a supportive member of her local DAR chapter and enjoyed historical research.
Her passion was service to her beloved Circlewood Baptist Church where she served alongside her husband in the music ministry and taught in the Youth Sunday School department for over sixty years. Betty continued to coordinate many mission projects even up to the day of her homegoing. Her compassion for those in need was extraordinary. She strived each day to be the hands and feet of Christ in this world.
