Benjamin Smith

Benjamin R. Smith, age 89, of Cottondale, Ala., passed away October 25, 2022 at his residence. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday, November 6, 2022, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 7857 Wuthering Heights Lane Duncanville, AL  35456,  with Brother David Kilbourne officiating. He was preceded in death by, his father, William Thomas Smith, Sr.; mother, Ola Griffin Smith Lancaster; brothers, Ottis Smith, Thomas Smith, Al Smith, and Jim Smith; sisters, Marie Smith Adams, Cammie Smith Sherrer, Julia Smith Jatko, and Dorothy Smith Phares.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ellen Moore Smith; daughters,  Sherry Smith Russell (Darol) and Anita Smith Knight (Tony); brother:  A. G. Smith; grandchildren, Ben Knight (Jessica), Jordan Knight (April), and Brandi Jolly (Robert); great-grandchildren, Ethan Taylor and Peyton Jones; great-great-grandchild, Tate Taylor.
