Annie Walker

ANNIE FRANK WILLIAMS WALKER (ANN WALKER)
Ann Walker age 87 of Coker, A passed away peacefully at home on January 30, 2021, in the loving company of her children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Franklin Williams and Annie Lucille Farley Williams; husband George Leo Walker; sisters Margie Williams Caldwell, Betty Jo Williams Phillips, Bobbie Louise Williams Strickland, Mary Williams Jones, Catherine Williams Rushing, and Sarah Williams Martin; and brothers James Williams, Thomas Farley "Bus" Williams, and Daniel Wiley Williams.

She is survived by her son, Rodney "Rod" Wade Walker (Katherine Chahrouri) of Birmingham, Alabama, and daughter Julie Ann Walker Mok (Henry Joseph "Tony" Mok) of Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Ann was a devoted wife to her husband, George, for 64 years until his death on October 19, 2019, and was a sweet and caring mother to Rod and Julie. She was a faithful, active member of Flatwoods Baptist Church from childhood until the recent pandemic prevented her from attending. She was a wonderful home cook, and her legendary chicken and dressing was highly sought after at family gatherings. While quiet in countenance, Ann went all out to celebrate her husband, children, and extended family at the holidays, with Christmas being the highlight of her year. A lover of all animals, she endeared herself to neighborhood pets and wild animals alike. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Very special thanks to the staff of Amedisys whose care allowed Ann to spend her final days at home in peace, dignity and comfort.
The funeral service will be graveside only at the Jennings Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, with Rev. Billy Gray presiding. Face coverings/masks and social distancing will be required. Pallbearers will be Clayton Jones, Mike Jones, John Phillips, Jerril Jones, and Maurice Kahlmus.
In lieu of flowers, the family would welcome donations in memory of Ann Walker to the Humane Society of West Alabama ( https://www.humanesocietyofwa.org/) or the Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter ( https://www.metroanimalshelter.org/). Funeral arrangements by Magnolia Funeral Home.
