Ann Rhodes Curry

Ann Rhodes Curry of Duncanville died peacefully at home September 19, 2025. She had lived in Duncanville most of her life and graduated from Tuscaloosa County High in 1956. She worked for Druid City Hospital, Dr. Walter Folsom, and then the University of Alabama.

A memorial service will be held at First Methodist Church on Monday September 29th at 1 o’clock with receiving of friends beginning at 12 noon.

She was preceded in death by her father, Derrel “Dusty” Rhodes, mother, Louise Rhodes, husband George Curry, and brother John Rhodes. She is survived by her sister Sue Curry of Mobile, brother Ronnie Rhodes of Tuscaloosa, sons Derrel Curry and wife Becky of Birmingham and James Curry and wife Susan of Duncanville, grandsons Taylor Curry and wife Camber of Auburn and Parker Curry and wife Megan of Birmingham, granddaughters Abigail and Emily Curry of Northport, great grandsons Scott and Tate Curry of Auburn and great granddaughter Lauren Curry of Birmingham.

Through the years, Mrs. Curry was very active in numerous clubs and organizations, but nothing was as important to her as her family and her church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Duncanville Community Cemetery (mail to 12626 Indian Creek Road, Duncanville, AL 35456) or the First United Methodist Church of Tuscaloosa.
