Allyn Ward Colburn

December 5, 1948 - September 12, 2026

Allyn Ward Colburn, 77, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, passed away on September 12, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Allyn grew up in Clearwater, Florida, and graduated from Dunedin High School, where he was a proud member of the marching band drum line. Music remained an important part of his life, and his love for performing continued long after high school. He played in a band called The Nobleman, where, to his family, he was nothing short of a rockstar.

But Allyn's greatest role in life was being a husband, father, and grandfather. He loved his family hard and made sure they always knew it. He especially loved watching his children play sports. He never missed a game and was always there cheering them on. That tradition continued as he watched his grandchildren play, proudly supporting them every step of the way.

Allyn was a passionate Alabama football fan and loved the New York Yankees. He enjoyed sports, music, and most of all, spending time with the people he loved.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Sandra; his children, Dustin, Jesse, and Chris; his daughters-in-law, Jenna, Kristin, and Stormi; and his grandchildren, Harrison, Bennett, Stella, Hayes, Josie, and Gavin.

He was preceded in death by his children, Aubry and Ryan.

Allyn leaves behind a lifetime of memories filled with music, laughter, sports, and family. He was the dad who never missed a game, the grandfather who proudly watched from the sidelines, and the husband and father who loved his family with his whole heart.

His family will forever remember his passion, his loyalty, his love of sports, cars and music, and the way he showed up for the people who mattered most.

There will forever be an empty seat at the games, a missing voice in the crowd, and a place in the hearts of his family that can never be filled.

Rest easy, Allyn. Your family will keep cheering, just like you always did. You will be loved and missed every day.

Services will be held  on Thursday, September 17, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Magnolia Chapel South with Rev. Billy Joy officiating and Magnolia Chapel South directing. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Gardens. Visitation will be held at Magnolia Chapel from 11:00 am- 1:00 pm prior to the service.
