In 1994 he and his wife Joann retired to their second home in Helen, GA. where he remained after her death. He is now reunited with his sweet Joann whom he missed so dearly. We will miss all of his wisdom and advise and laughter we have shared over the years, all the wonderful meals he cooked not only for his family but most of the City of Helen, and his church family there as well. Also to be missed will be the huge garden, the farm animals and telling old stories of long ago by the campfire we love you and will greatly miss you here on earth Pawpaw.

Though I never met Mr. Gulledge, I can tell by reading his obituary that he was a wonderful man who loved his family and his church. When I got to the part about his garden and farm animals, I can just picture him in Heaven, after he has his reunion with his beloved family and friends, meeting with my dad who lived next door to Donna. I can see them going on for hours about gardening and animals. Then they may spend some time talking about their children and life in Georgia after coming from other states. I will keep his family in my prayers for comfort during this difficult time.
